01Who we are
Doxuno is an online platform that lets users select, customize and download ready-made legal, business and personal document templates. The Service is operated through doxuno.com and is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at privacy@doxuno.com.
02Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated automatically as you use the Service, and information received from third parties that help us operate the Service.
Information you provide
- Account data — name, email address, password and language preference when you create an account.
- Document content — the information you enter into a template form (for example names, addresses, dates and other fields) so we can generate your document.
- Payment data — billing details for paid plans. Card details are processed directly by our payment provider Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Communications — messages you send when contacting support or replying to emails from us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, templates opened, downloads, clicks and other interactions with the Service.
- Device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers and approximate location derived from your IP.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 8 for details.
03How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate and maintain the Service;
- generate the documents you create and make them available for download;
- manage your account, subscription, billing and payment;
- send transactional messages (account confirmation, receipts, security alerts, service updates);
- respond to your support requests and feedback;
- improve the Service, debug issues and develop new features;
- detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents and violations of our Terms of Use;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
04Legal bases
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, we process your personal information on the following legal bases:
- Contract — to provide the Service you have requested and to perform our obligations to you (for example creating documents, managing your subscription).
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse and communicate with users about the Service.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing communications, where required by law. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws (for example tax, accounting and lawful requests from authorities).
06International data transfers
Doxuno operates internationally and your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, including jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from your own. When we transfer personal data internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
07Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations and resolve disputes. Specifically:
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Document content you generate is stored so you can re-download it from your account; you can delete documents from your account at any time.
- Billing and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable law.
- Backups and logs are kept for limited periods for security and operational purposes.
When personal data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
09Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements);
- restrict or object to certain processing, including profiling and direct marketing;
- receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@doxuno.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
10Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, access controls, regular backups and provider audits. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security; please use a strong, unique password and keep it confidential.
11Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required by law in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
