Note: Under the Child Abduction Act 1984, it is an offence to take a child under 16 out of the United Kingdom without the consent of all persons with parental responsibility. This letter provides evidence of that consent.
The consenting parent's passport number, for identity verification purposes
Include hotel or accommodation name, full address and a contact telephone number where possible
Important: It is strongly recommended that the travelling companion carries a certified copy of the child's birth certificate alongside this consent letter. Border Force officers may request proof of the relationship between the child and the accompanying adult.
